school holiday

On the first day of the school  holidays I had to pack my bag and fly away to Christchurch for my school holiday

On the plane it was scary at first having to leave my Mum and Dad for two whole weeks. The boy beside me was quite annoying. He kept on farting. I was scared that I might not find my uncle and cousins when I got there, but they were right by the door where I came through. I was glad that was over.

For my first four days I was playing with my cousins at their farm. It was fun.
Over the holiday I went to so many places. Willow Bank (a wild life park), Antarctic world , Hamner Springs and more. Going home was really hard I had had so mush fun I did not want to leave.
I would love to go again!

cycle safety

On Tuesday Constable Val came to school and showed us an obstacle course she made, to teach us how to be  cycle safe . We had to bring in our bikes to school. The obstacle course was hard , but fun at first. I was really scared of biking up the ramp but when I did the course it was the easy part of it. It was really fun.

Soccer

On Saturday the Carlton Rovers soccer team played, the Ruapehu 9th graders Wembly Park.
The game started, with Ruapehu strikers having total control of the ball. The Carlton Rovers team was struggling to score any goals. Zoe Henry charged to save some of the goals but most were lost because of a fierce and intense player from Ruapehu. Towards the end of the game the Carlton Rovers tried to score a last crucial goal, but were sadly disappointed. The score finished as 2 goals to to Ruapehu, and zero to Carlton Rovers.

Westmere Walkway

On Thursday Room 6, Room 5, and all the Room 4s that are going on camp went on the Westmere Walkway . We were very lucky with the weather it was a sunny and bright.

When we started there was one big hill to go up. The further we got the more hills we went up. It was extremely muddy my shoes were coved in smelly mud.

When we stopped for lunch some cows were watching us they looked very mad and disturbed. they looked like they were going to charge into the fence I was starting to get scared. However, it was fun when we stopped for a 25 minutes play, some people were rolling down hills and the rest were jumping across a little stream. I liked sliding down a hill on my rain jacket but some times I would get stuck on a mountain of grass. After lunch break there was mud covering the path and there were lots of cows as well, the path must have been the cow toilet. Poor Mr Waite he had to Piggy back Rosie halfway up the Westmere Walkway because Rosie had twisted here foot.

At the end of the walk everybody had the muddiest shoes ever. I had a really good time it was exciting and fun I would like to do it again.
